Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Unlocking Services Are Suitable For?
Our Unlocking services are suitable for anybody that owns a phone that is locked to a specific service provider. E.g Individuals that brought their phone in from overseas and wished to use their locked phones once they are back here and are also suitable for expatriates who wishes to use their locked phones over here. Our Services are not limited to phones only but including wireless modems as well.
How do we know if a phone is locked?
SP locked, SIM locked, Subsidy locked, it means your phone is locked to a certain network provider. This means you can only use the phone with a SIM card from that particular one network provider. If you want to use a SIM card of another service provider, your phone will reject it. Even if you have a world phone, you can’t really use other providers in your country (MAXIS), (DIGI), (CELCOM), etc. which renders it useless. There are also other levels of locking to the network such as Network Lock, Network Subset Lock, and Corporate Lock. The most common one is SP/SIM lock.
Common error messages you’ll find are: “Enter Subsidy Password”, “Enter Special Code” (Motorola), “Phone Restricted” (Nokia), “Insert Correct SIM Card” (Sony Ericsson), “Invalid SIM” (Blackberry), etc.
Is this legal?
Yes, it’s perfectly legal. The phone is yours just like your telephone at home. If your home phone that you bought could only make long distance calls, does that make sense?
